Dharma wants you, but not for much longer

Published by msterri at 2:00 pm under Internet extras Edit This

The Dharma Initiative is recruiting new workers on the website DharmaWantsYou.com.   Better hurry, though — the site says that recruitment is closing on October 7.

This is one of the tie-in sites that ABC puts up to keep viewers amused during LOST’s off-season.   Many of the sites have been known only to hard-core fans who hang out on LOST forums.  But the Dharma Initiative site was  advertised on a commercial, that at first glance appeared real, for “Octagon Global Recruiting,” which aired during last season’s LOST finale.

The Dharma Wants You site gives you a series of tests, including personality, knowledge, and IQ-type tests.  If you like quizzes and puzzles, you’ll enjoy these.

Aside from the personality-test questions in the initial “eligibility” test, most of the questions are similar to ones you’d see on real tests.  They did throw in a few curve balls, though, and my favorite question was one that asked “What is the answer to this question?” with the answer choices being:

A.  A
B.  B
C.  C
D.  D

Have fun, if you do it. Be prepared to be patient, though, as results won’t be revealed until December 15.
