This post is (mostly) spoiler-free, but I can’t necessarily say the same thing about the linked articles, so click the links below at your own risk!

ABC made the first two episodes of Season 5 available to the press, and many TV critics wrote articles about what they saw.

I’m curious, of course, but I really don’t want to know what’s going to happen! So I took a very quick peek at the articles, and then averted my eyes!

Zap2It says, “You won’t be disappointed …” Cool! I stopped reading right there!

Buddy TV says, “The opening scene is an instant classic.” (Be careful with this link — it gives away a bit of info right up front)

EW.Com says the opening is “brazenly frank (and engagingly funny).”

The Chicago Tribune says, “The opening minutes of the 2-hour season opener (which airs Jan. 21 on ABC) were really, really great”

E! Online has spoilers about the show’s romances. I backed out of there fast!

Whew! All this averting of my eyes is hard! I think I’m going to quit while I’m ahead, before I accidentally find out a lot more than I want to know.

But I’m glad I glanced at the articles, and saw that the critics all seemed to love the show, and that it starts off with something exciting.

I think this is going to be a good season!
